Euro Trip #2 (Planif)

In fact, Euro Trip #2 is going to happen before Euro Trip #1, simply because we bought the plane tickets 2 weeks ago for the beginning of November, and the train tickets last week end, for this coming week end...

Anyway, I don't know if you got my explanation there, but the POINT IS, I'm going to Munich (Germany) this week end.

Here's a little preview of what's suppose to happen: First thing friday, we get into a train at 6h20 in the morning from Lausanne, get to Zurich about 2h later, wait an hour, transfer to a train which will take us to Munich. Estimated arrival time, 13h28.

We spend the first afternoon visiting the old town, walking around. We start with Dachau's concentration camp, then we go through the alt stadt (old town) to all the main platz. We end up at the Hofbräuhaus, where Hitler, on February 24th 1920, organized the first of many large publicity and propaganda events for the Nazi party.

On saturday, we take a train down to see the Neuschwanstein Castle, in southwest Bavaria. Quite a hike to get down there, a train ride of 2 hours. Then we will ride back to Munich for a last round trip in town. After all this, we will go to Bürgerbräukeller, a large beer hall made famous by Hitler's putsch where he almost got killed, on November 8th 1939. I don't know if the building is still there, but we'll see!

On sunday, we plan on going to Nurnberg, home of the Nazi rallies and the famous Nurnberg trials, after the War. There, we will go to the Zeppelin field, where all these rallies were held.

Of course, you probably figured out by now that I used the words "we" and "us" in this plan. I'll be going there with my new friends from Quebec, Nic and Louis.

Here they are!

Let the trip begin!!!

You are quite the guy you know? I got "your car" up to 180 yesterday... don't have your guts to go faster it seems. lol.
