I was sitting in traffic this morning. It was unusually blocked (or is it always like this?). I thought about my upcoming departure for Switzerland. I thought about how easy it was to move around in Europe. I often talked about it with people here, telling them how a big company, named GM bought the trams here, took them off the streets, in order to make more profit selling their product (cars, in fact).
Don’t you find it incredibly stupid for a company to be selfish enough to only think in terms of profit, and not about social well being, or environment? There are too many cases like this one in the world today, and if nobody is willing to make changes, nothing will happen. I guess people in north-America are trained by the society to use their car, wherever they go.

In Europe, trains, trams, buses are practically the only way to get around easily. Cities are trying to remove cars from streets by innovating in the public transport system, and doing so constantly. If people are interested enough in making positive changes, great things can happen. In Canada, or the US, changing the way people move around is difficult because everybody drives a car, and not many are willing to make a change. If everybody makes a move, as small as it is, we can make this situation changes for good.
Improving public transport is the next smart move, what can you do about it?
As for the environment part of this, I hear too many people saying “hell, even if I try not to waste, nobody does it anyway, why bother?” If everyone does his little part, maybe something will change eventually. A little effort from everybody goes a long way…
