First Week End, on my own, nonetheless...

I thought it would be easier, really. At first you don't expect those kinds of things, you think you'll just adapt pretty fast, do your own thing, and everything will just go as you planned.

But no

In fact, being away from home, from my friends and lady, from my family, was far more difficult emotionally than I thought. I guess you can't really be prepared for this kinds of things, but it looks like a good thing to be able to go through it, and in a way, it teaches you how life really is. Even being around new people doesn't fill in for the ones I left behind. So, here it is, I miss you all, can't wait to see you guys (and girls ;-) again!

Anyway, on that first week end, I decided to go around my new city, to find out more about Lausanne. I went down to Ouchy, and I walked along the lakeside boardwalk.

First Image, from the boardwalk, looking at the Castle of Ouchy, and the Lac Léman on the left side

Then, the Beau-Rivage Hotel, a prestigious place that has been the host of many famous people over the years, and some of the peace treaties after the first World War.

Finally, on the boardwalk, there are information signs about Lausanne, and on this one, it briefly points out the people that stayed at this hotel.
