Week end à Zermatt!

Alors, après 2 semaines aux études, je méritais bien une petite escapade à Zermatt.

En compagnie de Marianne, Viktor et Anders, j'étais de retour sur les pistes. La fin de semaine commence plutôt mal, le premier jour, samedi, il pleut au niveau du village à 1600 mètres. Bien sûr, la neige tombe à 3100 mètres, mais un genre de neige glacé qui n'est pas trop plaisant. On va quand même sur la montagne, question de se donner un avant-goût...

Puis, après une soirée plutôt tardive, on se coince tous dans mon ex-studio pour une nuit assez courte, suivit d'un réveil plutôt matinal, afin de profiter du soleil qui éclaire les montagnes en ce beau dimanche matin de mars.

On prend nos bottes et nos board, et back on the slopes!

(Désolé pour le shake de la caméra, la neige était un peu ramassée en bosses, ce qui rend ma job de caméraman assez tricky...)

La deuxième vidéo: Dernière descente de la journée, a peu près le tiers de la longueur de la piste, jusqu'au restaurant de mon oncle!

De retour au resto, on prend un peu de soleil par cette belle journée à la montagne... 15 degrés seulement!!


Avec la terrasse pleine à craquée et le band dans le coin gauche qui nous joue des airs de country sur paysage de montagne...

Et voilà, de retour à Lausanne, mais watch out, plus que 2 semaines avant le grand retour!!

Party, Study, back to Lausanne city

Another big week behind me. It all started on monday the 18th with Bernie's 50th birthday, which turned out great: about 100 guests invited for the event, all drinks free the entire night, the perfect combination for a great party!

Victor and me started the show with 95 speedboat shots. Red Bull in the tee glasses, Jagermeister in the shot glasses. You have to tip the first shot, and they all go, the first shot kicking the next one in...speedboat style!


Then, after a couple drinks, we offer our gift to Bernie, a nice Gyro G9 Helmet, so that Bernie can be safer going out there on the slopes!

At the end of the evening, I even managed to get on stage for a couple improvised song, including "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones

After this great night, sleep 2h30, then take the train with two full suitcases back to Lausanne. I had to hurry, because I had a statistics course in the afternoon...

After a crazy week, trying to get back in the Lausanne lifestyle, I went out running on the lake side on Saturday, to try and catch some of the sun on that beautiful February day...15 degrees outside! Not like Quebec...
