For this third and last post to summarize my 2011 Summer, we start the weekend after coming back from Bulgaria...with the Street Parade in Zurich (900'000 people showed up to Party) followed by a day of Paintball in the French alps
The SWIT Team, with Roberto & Co
Showing off Rambo style
The Following weekend, I decide that this summer's objective was going to come alive on that Saturday August 20th
My ride to go around the Lake Léman, the largest in Europe, in Solo
After 120 km, I finally arrive in Geneva where cramps were really starting to slowdown my progression
After nearly collapsing, I finally made it!!
171km in 6h13, average speed 27.4 km/h, in Solo!
The following weekend, after 2 months of waiting, my Lady finally makes it to Switzerland!!
Audy and I in Zermatt on the first weekend
She was ready for it!! 45 degrees incline!
I was lagging behind...
We finally made it up to Sunegga, where we enjoyed some lunch in the sun
Amazing memories with my Lady
After Audy had gone to Strasbourg to visit her family for 3 days, we took the Spyder RT over the San Bernardo Pass down to Italy.
At the base of the San Bernado Pass
After a long road down to Santa Margherita, we walk 5km to that little town called Portofino, where we enjoy a very nice diner along with white Wine
Lovers in Portofino
The next day, we go down towards Cinque Terre and stop in Sestri Levante where we spend the day at the beach.
An overview of Sestri Levante
On the Saturday we had one of my colleagues from BRP arrange a Zodiac boat with a 40hp BRP Evinrude outboard engine for us to take along the cliffs of Cinque Terre, starting from the port of Portovenere
Along the cliffs, we were hanging around in the alcoves
Enjoying some sun on the boat!
My lady, driving the boat like a champ & resting her elbow on the coast line...
...While I was enjoying the view!
One of the beautiful alcove towns of Cinque Terre
Back at the Port of Portovenere, at the extreme end of the Cinque Terre peninsula
The Following day, we decided to stay on the coast line to avoid the storm all the way up to Switzerland. We went on the Côte d'Azur all the way to Nice (Juan Les Pins) to meet Alex Dobrev, who just happened to arrive that same day!
Here, looking down on Monaco
The last morning, just before the 9h30 long ride to Switzerland (the San Bernardo pass was closed due to rock slide and we had to go through the Mont Blanc tunnel...)
My Lady in Juan Les pins
A last look at La Côte d'Azur!
What A Summer!!
only 17 days left before My Lady comes back!!
Can't Wait!
