Family in Switzerland (Part 2) & Remise de Diplôme!

Regard nostalgique, vivement d'aller rider!

Family in Switzerland! (Part 1)

With November booming by, what better then having the family over to spend some time in my new home country, Switzerland!

We start with Marianne, my wonderful Flight Attendant sister!

She arrives on a Friday, and we immediately make our way to Zermatt!

On that night, we make a famous Olympia Stübli cheese fondue, the best in town!

The next day, we go for a walk around in the mountain

Finding big rocks..

 And  nice views!
Da sista and I!

Back to Lausanne, my regular job hours obliged us to see each other only in the evening, here is coming back from work, at the train station

Beautiful night views of the city, around St-François, in Lausanne

My sister and I, partying with Roberto in his hair Salon!

Roberto and I, barman and dancing!

Party till the last drop!

We went out a few times in Lausanne, and here's the last night!

Random Quebec girl we met,
Maude!

At our favorite after-work pub!

Swede November

For the first weekend of November, what better then a little trip to Sweden to see my lady! Arriving on friday morning, the chilling temperature takes me back to the good times back in Quebec city!

Johanna and I on the first evening in Uppsala!

We go to a predrink party with the Vancouver crew!

Seba and I

Joaquim

Fredrik and Mats

Erik!
Special thanks to him for a great night at Norrland back in September...

On the saturday, Johanna and I go to Stockholm to meet some friends and have a nice predrink party. We get there around 1h30pm and the sun is already getting low on the horizon, sign that we are far up north. In winter, the sun is up only a few hours per day, but in Summer, it stays up close to 20h per day!

Johanna and I in Stockholm

Our friends, Mr and Mrs Jones! (Ashley and Frida)
Ashley is the most dedicated Canada fan ever! Cheers!

We then got to the party, still in Stockholm.
Here we can see Johanna and her best friends:
Johanna, Emely, Clara, Ida and Annika

The night was on, and Tequila was on tap!
Shot?

A dream come true!
I was the only guy at a party with 14 Swedish girls
(one is missing on the picture)
13 blonds and 1 brunette!

Every guys dream...!

Until next time...

10/10/10

...Is the date where against everyone's expectations, I got tattooed!
Here is the breakdown of the steps that I went through in the excrutiating process of getting the 4 elements written permanently in my back.

This tattoo represents the equilibrium of life and without them nothing on earth could remain as it is. Being convinced that these are the elements Man should focus on in order to sustain in future generations, this symbol represents the paths that I'm going to work on preserving in order to leave a positive impact in this world.

It took 3½ hours to complete the task of writting down this amazing Ambigram. The first time I ever saw this symbol was when I read Angels & Demons from Dan Brown. This sign has its origins in the Illuminati, a very undergroung group composed of the most brilliant intellectuals of their time...

Earth - Air - Fire - Water

Try to look at it upside down...

My roommate Roberto, Getting ready for some intense tattooing session

Roberto started by writing down the tattoo on a calc paper, and put it on my skin

Probably the hardest part, the one that hurts the most. Doing the tracing of the whole tattoo, 1½ hours of real hardcore pain

After the contour, I was all stocked about finishing the whole thing. Helped by the fact that my roommate told me that the filling part is much less painful, I went through and decided to complete the task...Almost immediately regreting my decision...

40 min later, the bottom line is done...Water

After something that felt like an lifetime, the famous F was done...

2/3rd of the filling through...Air & Fire

Finally, afer about 3½ hours of intense pain, the final results is quite amazing!

The master at work

A close up of the design

The tools used to get the ink in...

The big one still has the needles on it (8 in a round), and was used to do the tracing. The small one was used to do the filling with an astonishing 26 needles (2 rows of 13 needles)

After 2 weeks of recovery, the ink is in for good!

The final result!
